What is Way to Events?

It is a web app for selling event tickets and running the gate. You set up the event, volunteers sell at the counter and scan with their phones, and guests show a QR pass. There is no guest app and no scanner hardware.

Do guests need to download an app or create an account?

No. They open the pass from a WhatsApp link with a PIN.

How do online payments work, and what fees apply?

Once the event is set up, online and counter ticket sales go straight to the organizer. Way to Events takes 0% of ticket revenue. Paddle bills the organizer account only. Guests do not pay for tickets through Paddle.

Can I sell tickets at the counter for cash or UPI?

Yes. Volunteers record counter sales and guests get the same QR pass.

What can each volunteer do?

A booker sells tickets at the counter. A scanner checks guests in at the gate. Both can sell and scan. A leader can sell, scan, and apply a sponsor price.

Can the same pass be used twice?

A single-entry pass works once. After the first successful scan it is blocked on every phone. A day pass or multi-entry pass is allowed only up to the limits you set on that ticket type.

How many gates and volunteers can I add?

Volunteer seats are limited by the organizer’s plan: Starter allows 15 and Pro allows 30. They can scan at the same time, and a used single-entry pass is blocked on every phone.

Does it support multi-day events and day passes?

Yes. An event can run for one day or several. Each ticket type can be a single-use pass, a day pass, or a multi-day pass, with its own dates and how many times it can be scanned per day.

Can sponsors appear on the pass?

Yes. Sponsor names can be printed on the digital pass. A discounted counter sale can also be tied to a sponsor, and that sponsor’s bookings and revenue show in reports.

Can I see who checked in, live?

Yes, on the admin dashboard, by gate and ticket type.

What if a guest loses their pass?

You can issue a replacement. The original pass is marked expired and linked to the new one, so the old QR cannot be used again.

Online buyers can download an invoice PDF from My Passes when an invoice is available for that order.

Who can see which events?

An organizer sees their own events. A volunteer sees only the events they are assigned to, and can sell or scan only those. A guest opens their own pass with its PIN.

How do you make money with zero commission?

The organizer pays a Paddle subscription for the admin account. That charge is not a cut of ticket sales. Online and counter ticket money goes to the organizer.
